Vanya Bansal – San Mateo Design Assistant

As a Design Assistant at Gilmans Kitchens and Baths Design Build, Vanya maintains a constant connection with clients in order to keep them up-to-date with the status of their project. Behind the scenes, Vanya spends her time creating AutoCAD drawings and product packages, while working with Gilmans Kitchen and Baths’ designers, vendors and subcontractors.

Vanya believes in organized teamwork, time management, and most importantly communication. With this in mind, she believes in providing an open and comfortable atmosphere where clients and colleagues alike, are able to confidently share their ideas. Understanding what the client needs is very important for each Design Build project and promotes an efficient and easy decision making process. What Vanya loves most about the remodeling industry is ability to experience and witness the finalization of a project. It brings her great satisfaction to see a vision accomplished.

An architect-planner with a penchant for learning new skills, Vanya discovered her knack for creating functional spaces while assisting her father in the CAD drafting of residential plans when she was younger. Her philosophy for design is creating a “human centric” functional space; a combination of creativity and sensibility.

Vanya completed her Bachelors of Architecture from India in 2008. She enjoys attending zumba classes, cooking, yoga, cycling and hiking. New to the Bay Area, she loves exploring new trails and taking day trips!
