Julie Banks – Mountain View Designer

Julie is passionate about creating a space that functions smoothly and that reflects the client’s personal style and taste. Currently at the Mountain View showroom, she firmly believes that great design is achieved by listening, maintaining close communication, sharing product information/options/the remodeling process and sensitivity to their budget, timeline and desired goal. Julie’s real-life experience as a mom/homemaker (aka Queen of the castle) has given her a distinct advantage in knowing what actually works in the kitchen, bath, and other areas of the home. Julie’s ultimate goal is to have her clients walk into their completed room and be overwhelmed with joy!

Julie’s design career started early creating amazing kitchens, baths and living spaces for her Barbie Dolls! Fantasy turned to reality after completing her education in Architectural Design and Drafting. She had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at firms in the San Francisco Bay Area in the capacity of Designer, Project Manager and Construction Manager.

Julie cannot stress enough that being a great designer comes from listening to clients and applying all of the accumulated knowledge and experience to develop the kitchen/bath of their dreams. She also takes pride in consistently staying abreast of the current trends, keeping up with product knowledge, and interacting with other industry professionals through her involvement with NKBA, NARI and community organizations.

Only after all of her efforts are fully exercised, can Julie go home feeling satisfied and happy. Her refueling time consists of spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking (you have not had Christmas cookies until you have had Julie’s), walking, sketching, painting, and visiting museums and historical sites.
