Hickory

Hickory is primarily grown in the Appalachian region of Pennsylvania and is a very dense hardwood. It is known for its wild variation in grain and color and may contain mineral streaks in the kitchen cabinets. Hickory grain is very prominent and has a completely random appearance as its grain may be straight or have a wavy quality to it. Hickory wood comes in many different stains and may lighten or “bleach” if in direct sunlight.
