Cherry

Cherry is one of the most desired hardwoods due to its uniform grain pattern, smooth texture and rich color. Cherry ranges from light to medium reddish brown and may contain pin knots, mineral streaks and small black or brown gum spots which adds a distinctive character to this popular wood. Cherry wood darkens over time and when placed in direct sunlight. Darkening is more obvious in kitchen cabinets when Cherry stains are lighter in color.
