Kathy Smith Designer at Gilmans Kitchens and Baths Burlingame Kathy Smith is a native of the Peninsula and graduate of the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Prior to becoming a Kitchen Designer she was a Creative Services Manager and Graphic Designer for many large area firms and started her own business, University Graphics, which she owned for ten years. During the process of remodeling her kitchen she discovered she possessed the skills and interest needed to become a designer. Kathy returned to school and earned an Interior Design Certificate (with an emphasis on kitchen design) and started working at Gilman’s Kitchen & Baths in January of 2004. Kathy has enjoyed great success because of the enthusiasm and dedication she brings to each clients’ individual project.
