Gilmans Kitchens and Baths: The Design-Build Team John Keplar, Designer, San Francisco

john keplar, designer at gilmans kitchens and baths John has been with Gilmans Kitchens and Bath for over nine years after completing the Interior Design Program at U C Berkeley. It was a mid life career change for John who had previously been the Assistant Pastry Chef at the Fairmont Hotel San Francisco for 11 years prior.

When it comes to John’s approach, he likes to start with the overall concept first. Once that is established then work as a team with the clients to make it functional, balanced, and on budget. John prides himself with being organized, efficient, and communicative through out the design and install process.

Designing in San Francisco presents many design challenges and with John’s experience clients can rely on him to make the whole process smoother.
